About these terms
These terms apply to your use of pgt.clinic, a website operated by Monash IVF Pty Ltd. 63 006 942 990 ("we", "us"). By using the website you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Information on this website
The information on this website is general and is written for health professionals. It is not medical advice for any individual and does not replace a consultation or clinical assessment. Using the website, the consult guides or the contact form does not create a doctor–patient relationship with us.
If you need urgent medical help, call 000 or go to your nearest emergency department. The contact form is not monitored for urgent matters.
The consult guides
The consult guides are free tools for health professionals. They paraphrase the guidelines they cite, as published on the date shown in each guide, and every point links to its source. Guidelines change, so check the linked source before relying on a result.
The guides support clinical judgement and do not replace it. You remain responsible for the care you provide, including decisions about referral and testing.
The guides run entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is saved or sent to us or anyone else. Please leave patients' names and other identifying details out.
Appointments and fees
Consultations are by referral from a GP specialist or another specialist. A current referral is needed to claim a Medicare rebate. We will tell you the fee and the expected out-of-pocket cost before your appointment.
If you need to cancel or change an appointment, please give us at least 48 hours’ notice. A cancellation fee may apply to appointments missed without notice.
Telehealth consultations need a device with a camera and microphone and a reliable internet connection. If a consultation can't go ahead because of a technical problem on our side, we will rebook it at no charge.
Genetic tests are performed by accredited laboratories, which may charge their own fees. Some tests attract a Medicare rebate and some don't. We will explain the costs before you decide on testing.
Intellectual property
The content of this website, including the text, images, design and consult guides, belongs to us or is used with permission. Health professionals may use the guides in their own clinical practice and print or save summaries for their records. Please don't copy, modify, republish or sell the content or the guides without our written permission.
Links to other websites
We link to guidelines and other resources for convenience. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of other websites.
Liability
We take care to keep the website and guides accurate and up to date, but we don't guarantee that they are complete, current or free of errors, or that the website will always be available.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, the website or the consult guides. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
