Family History of Cancer
When a patient mentions cancer in the family, this guide helps you work out whether they meet the criteria for referral to a familial cancer or clinical genetics service. It checks the history against all ten eviQ referral guidelines as you go, and sets out the cancer screening they need either way.
Answer four questions about the patient, then draw the family on the tree, recording each cancer and the age at diagnosis. The guide shows which criteria are met and which relatives qualify on their own history, and gives you a summary to paste into a referral or your notes.
